I use human behavior, business, and psychology to deconstruct and reconstruct things, so we can understand the world better and do better ourselves. I started a company 8 years ago to rethink the way businesses do marketing. And most recently I've released a book on how breakthrough teamwork works.
2: What is your biggest life lesson?
My dad always taught us "people are more important than stuff."
3: What is your biggest achievement?
Probably the new book, Dream Teams: Working Together Without Falling Apart. It was a herculean effort and an important topic for society, not just business.
4: What is currently the most challenging part of running your business?
Hiring the right people and getting them to work together in the right ways.
5: What was the biggest hurdle you had to overcome to get where you are now?
Lack of finances and connections, honestly. The uphill battle is less steep if you start off with more of those. :)
6: What is your favorite book?
Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin. That or the Tao of Wu.
7: If you could have anyone educate you who would it be?
8: What is your deepest regret?
I'd actually rather not answer this one in public. :)
9: What is your favorite podcast?
10: How people can get in contact with you?
11: What is your YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts?
@shanesnow on Twitter is the only one I really do a lot
12: Who inspires you on social media and why?
Kumail Nanjiani. He's hilarious and uses humor to address serious topics.
13: What is your favorite tech tool that you use in the your business?
Evernote, hands down!
14: How would you help people with disabilities?
Mental health is really important to me. I think sharing the stories of mental health challenges and how common it is is so important for people to reach out, get help, build community, and destigmatize diseases and disorders that are no one's fault.
15: What is the hardest part of your job that you have to face everyday?
The switching costs of too many disparate tasks, and trying to block out periods of time where I can do work in my zone of genius.
